How We Make Money
TaxQuarters is free to use, and stays free through affiliate commissions on some software links and, later, display advertising. We never move the free or cheapest option out of first place, and we never rank anything by how much it pays us.
How affiliate links work
Some links on this site (mainly on our software comparison and recommendation pages) are affiliate links. If you click through and sign up with a provider, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra; the price you pay is the same either way. Affiliate links are marked clearly at the point you see them, as required under the UK's CAP Code.
Our independence rules
- We decide our recommendation before we know which options pay a commission. Never the other way round.
- Free and cheapest compliant routes are always shown first when they genuinely fit, never buried below paid ones.
- We never rank software by commission size.
- We never accept sponsorship that dictates our conclusions.
Other ways we're funded
Display advertising, once live, kept to a level that doesn't get in the way of the tools. In future we may also run sponsored slots in our deadline-reminder emails (kept separate from editorial recommendations) or offer a paid toolkit. If we do, this page will be updated.
This page, and disclosure at the link itself
This page is our general disclosure under the UK's CAP Code and ASA rules on affiliate marketing. Where a specific link is an affiliate link, we mark it at that point too. You shouldn't have to come here to find out.
